Varada means "boon-giving," and Varada Ganapati, red-hued and seated with his Shakti, is the form of Shree Ganesh through which blessings and prosperity are freely extended to sincere devotees.
Appearance
Varada Ganapati holds a goad and a noose among his four hands, seated beside his Shakti, with one hand offered in a gesture of blessing — the outward posture of a lord ready to grant what is asked of him with an open and generous hand.
What the Form Represents
This form embodies the generosity at the heart of Shree Ganesh's nature — that blessings are not withheld or hoarded, but given freely to those who approach in sincerity. Varada Ganapati represents divine grace offered without hesitation.
What Devotees Seek
Devotees seeking a specific blessing — for prosperity, for a particular wish, or simply for the assurance of divine favor — turn to Varada Ganapati, trusting in his generosity.
