Shakti Ganapati, "the Powerful," is shown seated with his Shakti — his divine feminine energy — upon his knee, an orange-red form representing the inseparable union of supreme intellect and cosmic power.
Appearance
With four arms, Shakti Ganapati holds a garland, a noose, and a goad, while one hand extends in the abhaya mudra, the gesture of fearlessness and protection, as he sits embracing his Shakti.
What the Form Represents
This form teaches that wisdom and power are not opposing forces but a single, unified strength. Shree Ganesh's intellect gives direction and purpose to Shakti's raw energy, just as Shakti gives that intellect the force to act in the world. Traditionally, this form is also understood as a guardian of the household.
What Devotees Seek
Householders and families seek Shakti Ganapati's protection and blessing, along with the balance of strength and wisdom needed to guide a home and the people within it.
